Common Toylines

This page covers some of the current entry-level toys and figures, such as those below. These are also called "mainline" toys, as they are the active, promoted, stocked toys in stores at the time. Click a toy box to skip to its respective segment of this page!

Legacy Toyline

This line began in 2021 and has 3 subsections, one for each year! Legacy, Legacy: Evolution, and Legacy: United. Each has multiple classes of figure, which denote the size, quality, complexity, and price. Each class is explained below, and example of one from each subsection line is provided with an image of the packaging linked to a place to purchase that figure.

Core Class:

Core class is the smallest class for this line. They stand around 3" tall, can be converted with simple steps into a vehicle or animal mode, and are priced at around $10.00, depending on the retailer.

Deluxe Class:

Deluxe is the next-highest class after Core. They stand around 5-6" tall, and can be converted into an alternate mode with slight complexity increase compared to core. They are priced around $25.00-$30.00, depending on retailer.

Voyager Class:

Voyager is the penultimate class. They stand at 7" tall, and can be converted into an alternate mode with many steps and intricacies. They are priced starting at $35.00 and upwards, depending on retailer.

Leader Class:

Leader Class is the highest class of this line. They also stand at 7" tall, and can be converted into an alternate mode with more steps and a higher attention to detail. The Leader Class has the least number of characters compared to other classes due to their price and complexity. They are priced upwards of $55.00.

Studio Series

Studio Series focuses specifically on the characters from the movies and video games, instead of the TV shows, books, or comics. It covers the franchise's films all the way from the 1986 hand-animated movie, the five live action "Bay-verse" movies, the two live action "Knight-verse" movies, and even the most recent animated Transformers: One.

These have been consistently released in regular waves since 2018. Current waves typically cost $20-$40 in stores, while older waves are harder to find and can be resold for hundreds of dollars.

This toyline is also organized with the class system detailed above, but to save space, the explanations will be omitted. Instead these listings are formatted to show some of the different designs for different movies! Click on any box to purchase that particular figure.

R.E.D.

The R.E.D. (Robot Enhanced Designs) toyline is a Walmart-exclusive line of non-transforming six-inch figures. They are known for their simplicity and texture compared to the harder plastic used for the other main lines.

They are intended to be priced around $20-$30, but prices increase up to the hundreds for rarer finds.

These are all the same size and aesthetic, so instead of design uniqueness or class, these listings will show off the many characters offered by the R.E.D. line.
