Collector Figures

These are high-end, expensive, extremely high quality figures. They are typically not available in regular stores' toy aisles, and must be ordered online or found in collector-specific pop culture shops.

While other collector lines exist, this website is currently designed to keep the introduction to figure collecting simple. This page will cover two collector toylines: Masterpiece and FlameToys: Kuro Kara Kuri.

Masterpiece

The Masterpiece toyline is one of the most well-regarded official lines. Each figure is typically screen-accurate down to minute details, made of heftier materials than common figures, and able to be transformed into an equally screen-accurate alternate mode. They are identified by "MP-" followed by their ID number. Their price typically falls around $200-$300, with outliers between $100 and $700.

FlameToys: Kuro Kara Kuri

These figures are slightly less-known than the Masterpiece line, due to the fact that they are at an even higher price point, more intense design complexity, and the fact that they do not transform. They can be articulated and posed in robot-mode only. They also feature many characters from the Transformers comics, which are a lesser-consumed media in the franchise, and so a lot of fans are not familiar with the characters' designs.

Their price typically falls upwards of $300, with some more complex figures reaching up to $600.
